AMRC, the Academy of Medical Sciences, Alzheimer's Research UK, Arthritis Research UK, the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, the Medical Research Council, and the Wellcome Trust together support an All-Party Parliamentary Group on Medical Research.
The group provides a forum and network for parliamentarians with an interest in medical research. It aims to facilitate collaboration between parliamentarians and medical research bodies and to provide up to date information on developments in medical research, including aspects of public health, the ethics of research and the implications of research findings for society.
The APPG on Medical Research is listed in Parliament's Register Of All-Party Parliamentary Groups here.
AMRC provides the secretariat support to the group. Costs incurred for the group's coordination and meetings are split between the seven supporting members.
If you have any ideas for topics the group should look at or would like further information about the group's activities, do contact AMRC's Public Affairs Officer, Rohan Bundell.
